The break works best with offshore winds from the west–southwest and primarily receives clean groundswells from the south. It is very rarely crowded, making it a peaceful spot to catch waves. The best conditions occur when a south swell combines with a west–southwest offshore wind, with the most consistent clean, rideable waves typically found in winter, especially in June.
