Cabo Pulmo in Baja Sur is a fairly exposed beach and reef break with inconsistent surf that works best during summer. The break primarily receives distant groundswells from the south and performs best with offshore winds from the west-northwest. It is rarely crowded but surfers should be cautious of coral reefs and sharks. The best conditions occur when a south swell combines with a west-northwest offshore wind, with the most reliable clean, rideable waves typically found in summer.
