π Local Knowledge
Beachbreak in Baja Sur is an exposed beach break offering reasonably consistent surf that can work year-round, with both left- and right-hand waves performing well at all stages of the tide. The break primarily receives groundswells, with the ideal swell direction from the southwest and the best wind direction offshore from the northeast. The best conditions are reported when a southwest swell combines with an offshore northeast wind, creating clean, rideable waves. The spot is rarely crowded, but surfers should take care of local hazards typical to beach breaks. The most consistent clean surf typically occurs during winter, especially in December.
