Rimmers Road, West Coast Auckland, is an exposed beach break with consistent year-round surf. Waves work best on groundswells from the southwest, offering both left and right-hand rides. Optimal conditions occur during mid rising tide with offshore east winds; the beach is easily blown out by onshore breezes. Hazards include rips and sharks. The spot can get crowded when surf is good. Autumn, particularly March, provides the most consistent clean waves.
