📍 Local Knowledge

Playa de Viso and Espasa in Asturias is a fairly exposed beach break that offers consistent surf and can work at any time of the year. This spot provides both left and right-hand waves from an equal measure of groundswells and windswells; while it is best surfed around low tide and can still be rideable in light onshore winds, visitors should be mindful that it can get crowded when it is working. The best conditions occur when a Northwest swell combines with South-southeast offshore winds, with December being the prime month for consistent, clean waves.
