📍 Local Knowledge

Playa de Tranqueru in Asturias is a reasonably exposed beach break that usually has waves, although it tends to be mostly flat during the summer months. This spot provides left and right peaks from an equal measure of windswells and groundswells; while it can offer great sessions, visitors should be mindful of potential crowds, rocks, and water pollution when it is working. The best conditions occur when a Northwest swell combines with South offshore winds, with January being the prime month for consistent, clean waves.
