Playa de Candás in Asturias is a fairly exposed beach break offering fairly consistent surf, although it is frequently flat during the summer months. This spot provides both left and right-hand waves from a mix of groundswells and windswells; while it is best surfed around a falling mid tide, visitors should be mindful that it is often crowded. The best conditions occur when a Northwest swell combines with South offshore winds, with December being the prime month for consistent, clean waves.
