Cala De Merón in Asturias is an exposed beach break that offers quite reliable surf, although it tends to be mostly flat during the summer months. This spot provides both left and right-hand waves from a mix of groundswells and windswells; while it is best surfed around mid tide, visitors should be mindful of potential crowds and submerged rocks when it is working. The best conditions occur when a North-northwest swell combines with South offshore winds, with December being the prime month for consistent, clean waves.
