Playa de Regla in Andalucia is an exposed beach break that usually has waves, reaching its optimum during the winter and spring. The break provides both left and right-handers from an equal measure of windswells and groundswells; however, it is often crowded. The best conditions reported for surf at Playa de Regla occur when a West-southwest swell combines with an offshore wind direction from the East, and the best time of year for surfing Playa de Regla with consistent clean waves (rideable swell with light / offshore winds) is the month of December.
