Mojacar in Andalucia is a reasonably exposed river break with inconsistent surf. The best conditions come with a northwest swell and offshore winds from the northwest. The river mouth can produce both left and right-hand waves that are surfable at all tide stages. Due to its location, it rarely gets crowded, but surfers should be cautious of rocks and man-made hazards such as buoys. The best month to surf Mojacar is January.
