📍 Local Knowledge
La Muralla in Andalucia is an exposed reef break with fairly consistent surf, reaching its optimum during the winter and spring. This right-hand reef performs best on a rising mid tide and receives a mix of groundswells and windswells; however, it is often crowded and surfers should watch out for rocks. The best conditions reported for surf at La Muralla occur when a Southwest swell combines with an offshore wind direction from the North, and the best time of year for surfing La Muralla with consistent clean waves (rideable swell with light / offshore winds) is the month of January.
