Current Conditions

POOR
Poor conditions right now. Tiny waves under 1ft with quality 11s ground swell but strong 15kt winds making it choppy Note: winds from NW would be better. Might want to wait for better conditions.

📍 Local Knowledge

El Sunset (Benalmádena) in Andalucia is an exposed beach break that only works once in a while, with autumn and winter offering the best conditions for waves. Offshore winds from the northwest help clean up the surf. Most waves come from windswells, and the ideal swell direction is from the southeast. The beach break provides both left and right hand waves and is surfable at all stages of the tide. It’s often crowded here. The best month to surf El Sunset is November.
